Hints & Tips

Last month I mentioned the Psion Revo, which I quite like - mostly because the size is only slightly longer than a Palm III, but also because it is good looking (for a Psion); it is very much trying to take the place of the Palm V against the Psion Series 5mx. Some people have been reporting problems using it with a Motorola Timeport L7089, and other say that the combination works straight off. Well, I can report that it does work; but only if you set the connection speed down from the default 115k bps to something like 19.2. Fax is not supported with the 7089, and the 7089 will not work at all with a Series 5. Losing fax isn't a problem with the Revo, as the fax software has been dropped anyway.
